The Conference Proposal was approved by the College Board in April 2008, and the Sino-Japan Youth Conference Committee was formed in July 2008. It is responsible for the advertisement, website management, selection, fundraising, program coordination, and the actual facilitation of the conference. The Committee consisted of LPC students, graduates, and Japanese UWC graduates. Since they were also in different locations such as Hong Kong, Japan, USA, or UK, the means of communication was mainly emails and online phones during the school time. However, during the holidays, the organizers had numbers of meetings.
